Our team was at the Luxe Pack New York show in May — here’s a brief recap, in video. Beauty Packaging’s editor-in-chief Jamie Matusow spoke to several key executives and exhibitors. The Young Group’s Karen Young, shown above, mentioned a few trends. “Commodity brands, such as toothpaste and deodorant, are moving upstream,” Young said, explaining how more personal care brands are now inspired by Instagram and choosing ‘fancy’ packaging. Many suppliers, including Albea, featured sustainable packaging solutions. “Sustainability is a key trend for the future,” says Daphne Da Silva, marketing manager, North America, Albea.
